Banner advertising

The UPI site is designed to support all Interactive Advertising Bureau Universal Ad Package units.  This consists of the following four general sizes:

-728 x 90 Leader Board
-160 x 600 Skyscraper
-300 x 250 Rectangle
-180 x 150 Mini-Rectangle

The banner ad units run at the top, bottom, and side of each page, and directly adjacent to or within editorial content for maximum impact.  For more information on the Universal Ad Package, please visit the IAB website at (http://www.iab.net/standards/uap/index.asp).

Specs on these four basic ad sizes in addition to available size variations are listed below.

Ad Sizes

*Using interstitial ad/splash pages, floating page ads, pop ups, and pop unders can greatly enhance the prominence of your ad's message.

Standard Media Guidelines

File Format: GIF87, Gif89a, JPEG, FLASH, HTML, or Java/JavaScript
Animation: 3 loops maximum; up to 7 seconds per loop
Resolution: Not to exceed 72 dpi
Link URL: Must be included via email when creative is submitted
Note:For testing purposes, standard creative must be received at least three business days prior to the campaign start date. Rich Media Creative requires five business days for testing.

Ad Specifications:

• Ads should not be designed to blend in with the site; do not mimic editorial fonts or colors.
• Ads should not include fake form elements of other graphic symbols that mimic functionality that does not exist.
