Michael J. Marshall
Michael Marshall has served as editor-in-chief of United Press International, the international news agency, since 2003. He has also been a member of UPI's board of directors since 1999.
He is Vice-president for Editorial Affairs of News World Communications Inc., a media company that owns UPI as well as The Washington Times.
From 1986 until 2003 he was executive editor of the The World & I magazine, a weighty monthly international, intercultural, interdisciplinary magazine with a renaissance flavor aimed at educators and educational institutions as well as lifelong learners.
Prior to coming to America Marshall worked in London, editing The New Tomorrow, a monthly general interest and feature magazine, and The London Rising Tide a biweekly broadsheet of political and cultural commentary.
He holds an M.A in History from
Marc Oram was named General Counsel in April 2008. He previously served as UPI's Assistant General Counsel since 2003. Oram is responsible for advising the company on legal issues worldwide. He holds a law degree from the Tulane University School of Law and has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
